International Holocaust Remembrance Day

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On November 1st 2005, the UN passed a resolution that every year on January 27th, an International Holocaust Remembrance Day – יום הזיכרון הבינלאומי לשואה – will be observed. The date was chosen because on that day in 1945, the largest Nazi death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau, was liberated by Soviet forces.

Flash and fabulous shining sequin cocktail dresses never go wrong for holiday season. Get your shine on in a sweet short sequin cocktail dress with a gilded finish that’ll dazzle in any light. For when a little sparkle goes a long way, go for a sequin cocktail dress in regal gold for a festive take!

Throughout the formal and prom world, a major change is occurring. Country and vintage lace designs are less common, and instead we’re seeing more elegant and avant-garde silhouettes being used. Dress designers are not afraid to take design to a new level, cleverly using minimal lace in the most unexpected places. An entire evening dress is covered in a rich black lace and also features an interesting scalloped collar.

Some of my favorite lace gown creations are from the ever-changing and awe-inspiring designs in bridal industry. Many of the bridal gowns are lace from neckline to hemline, with lace fabrics ranging from the extremely delicate Alençon lace to the almost geographical, cut-out, modern laces on classic mermaid and column styles. hailmaryjanes top1sexvideos citybarbeques themeinfos apptippers tiavat top1xnxx topfreeblackporn blackhatoffers top5xnxx malehealthsreview arturofirenzes modernsharps top1xxx

Resolution 60/7 calls on all global citizens to remember the Holocaust by teaching the history of this genocide, to reject ideas that support denial of the Holocaust- הכחשת השואה, and to preserve the camps at which over 20 million people were sent to their deaths.

An important moment in Israeli History: In an Israeli Air Force flyover the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp on January 27th, 2006 Commander Amir Eshel said:

“אנו טייסי חיל האוויר הישראלי, בשמי מחנה הזוועות, קמנו מאפר מיליוני הקורבנות. נושאים את זעקתם האילמת, מצדיעים לגבורתם, ומבטיחים להיות מגן לעם היהודי ולארצו – ישראל

“We, the pilots of the Israeli Air Force, in the skies above this camp of horrors, rose from the ashes of millions of victims. We are carrying their muted cries, we salute their courage, and we promise to be a shield for the Jewish people and their land, Israel.”

The Holocaust is not simply six difficult years in the history of the Jewish people; it’s six tragic and horror-filled years in the history of the world. For that reason we all, as inhabitants of this Earth, must never forget, as Auschwitz survivor Primo Levi said in his book, If this is a Man:

“You, who are sitting with no fear in a safe place; you, who can find a warm food and a face of a friend, when you come back to your house – why won’t you observe and see – this a man, who works in a cold swamp. He, who doesn’t rest and fights for a small piece of bread, that for saying “yes” or “no” he could mean death.”

“אתם היושבים באין מחריד במשכנות מבטחים; אתם המוצאים מאכל חם ופני ידיד בשובכם הביתה עם דמדומים: התבוננו וראו הזהו אדם העובד בביצה הקרה; הוא, שאינו יודע מנוחה ונלחם למען פת לחם זעירה. שבעבור “כן” או “לא” לבן-מוות היה.”

After reading these words, we call on the world to never forget – 27/1 – International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
